The Rufus Rose House is one of the few remaining old school residential Peachtree Street houses. It is a Queen Anne Victorian style house built in 1901. The house was originally home to Four Roses liquor founder, Rufus Rose.

The Winecoff Hotel fire, of December 7, 1946, was the deadliest hotel fire in American history, killing 119 hotel occupants, including the hotel's original owners.
